The theme for 2012 is education toward the CPP designation. Each month will have a speaker and topic that will address specific areas of a topic of required knowledge for certification. The goal is to help those that wish to obtain the certification and continuing education for those that already have attained the credential.

Officer Nate Banry gave an extremely informative training on safety and security from violence. Provided from a police training point of view, attendees learned what they can do to be better prepared from violence in the workplace and within the community.

School shootings, armed disgruntled employees and violent robberies are just a few of today's unfortunate realities.  We can play the odds and hope for the best, or we can learn from those that deal with this every day.  North Hollywood Detective's Commanding Officer Lt II Alan Hamilton will present "How to handle active shooters".  This is going to be an exciting and informative presentation.
